Just got a look at the NROL and I have to admit that it got me stuck! Nice job!

Why don’t you have the New rules of lifting for women in iBook format? You have the men’s version.

    Thanks, Karen

Karen, we did have several e-versions of NROL for Women, but we took them off the market because we got so many complaints. You can’t read the charts, and it’s difficult to scroll back to reference the photos and exercise descriptions.

Several people who bought the Kindle version told me that they had to go back and buy the paper version as well. I ended up pulling books off my own shelf and sending them to readers so they didn’t have to buy my book twice.

My editor and I felt this was unacceptable, so we took the ebooks off the market. The new book, NROL for Abs, won’t be released in electronic versions.

Perfect world, we’d release apps for iPhone, iPad, and Droid that would give readers an interactive version of the books. They could buy the books for the text and workouts, or buy the app if they just wanted the workouts. If they want to buy both, they’re getting two different but complementary products, not the same thing twice.

But that’s just not in play right now. The best we can do is avoid selling readers a product that we know isn’t good enough.

Hey Lou, just found your blog and I love what you’re doing. We seem to have similar philosphies when it comes to training. Can’t wait to see the NROL for Abs. Keep up the good work and keep preaching the gospel. Take care- Shane
